Support 4 Soldiers was formed by the Assist Local Foundation as a Christian military support group in 2010. We are dedicated volunteers who share a common goal to do everything we can to show our troops how much we care about them. We began with just a handful of people in Folsom, CA; but we have joined our hands with individuals and groups in the surrounding areas as far away as Brentwood, South and West Sacramento, Auburn, Placerville, and beyond. The gratitude we wish to convey to our United States military personnel and their families cannot be measured or expressed in words. The bravery, dedication, and sacrifices our men and women in uniform make are overwhelming. Our goal is to ensure that members of our armed forces are not forgotten, and that they receive the honor, encouragement, love and support they deserve as they put themselves in harm’s way to keep our country safe and to preserve our freedom. Support 4 Soldiers is a ministry of the Assist Local Foundation, and is part of a family of ministries that provide opportunities for volunteers to serve within their local communities. The Assist Local concept was born out of more than 30 years of community service work beginning in Santa Ana, CA. Operation Love was founded by Assist Local Foundation’s founder and members of local community churches in southern California in the late 1970s, to serve those in poverty in Santa Ana. During the time that Operation Love served the community, the City of Santa Ana awarded Operation Love and it’s members the LISA (Let’s Improve Santa Ana) community service award for having the most effect on poverty and improving the quality of life for those in need. Assist Local Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit Christian public charity.
